Terms of Service
Effective date: September 8, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Jason's Garage Lab (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the service.
1. The service
Jason's Garage Lab is a personal workout planning and tracking tool for 5/3/1 and Push/Pull/Legs training. It may provide calculations, suggested sets, progress information, exports, and optional synchronization of daily step totals from Google Health.
The service is provided for general informational and organizational purposes. Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued. We do not promise that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or third-party service.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms and meet the minimum age required to use online services in your location. You sign in through Google and are responsible for the Google account and access credentials used to access the service.
You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure, for the activity conducted through it, and for promptly notifying the service operator if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. You may not share access in a way that bypasses account controls or use another person's account without permission.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the service only for lawful personal or authorized organizational purposes. You must not:
- Use the service to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, or administrative functions.
- Probe, scan, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
- Upload malicious code or content, or use the service to distribute spam or harmful material.
- Scrape, copy, resell, or commercially exploit the service except as expressly permitted.
- Misrepresent your identity or use the service to impersonate another person or organization.
- Use automated access in a way that unreasonably burdens the service.
4. Your content and exports
You retain ownership of the workout data, notes, and other content you submit to the service. You grant the service operator a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, process, display, back up, and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and improve the service and produce the exports you request.
You are responsible for your content, including its accuracy, legality, and suitability. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit it. You may download and use your generated Markdown and PDF exports, but you are responsible for protecting copies stored on your own devices or shared with others.
5. Training and health disclaimer
The service is not a medical device, healthcare provider, personal trainer, or substitute for professional medical advice. Training calculations, suggested weights, estimated one-rep maxes, step totals, and other information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for you.
Consult a qualified healthcare or fitness professional before beginning or changing an exercise program, especially if you have an injury, medical condition, or concern about exercise. You are solely responsible for deciding whether and how to train, using safe technique and appropriate equipment, and stopping when something feels unsafe. Never rely on the service for emergency or time-critical decisions.
6. Third-party services
The service uses third-party services, including Google sign-in and, when you choose it, Google Health synchronization. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, or practices.
You authorize the Google Health integration only when you connect it. You can disconnect it in Settings, but data already imported into your training history may remain until deleted.
7. Intellectual property
The service, including its software, design, branding, text, and features, is owned by or licensed to the service operator and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service as made available to you. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
8. Feedback
If you provide suggestions or feedback about the service, you grant the service operator the right to use it without restriction or compensation, provided that this does not disclose your private training content except as you authorize.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. The service operator may suspend or terminate access, or remove content, when reasonably necessary to protect the service or users, address a violation of these Terms, comply with law, or discontinue the service. Where appropriate, we may provide notice before taking action.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions, will continue to apply.
10. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST, DAMAGED, OR UNAVAILABLE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE OPERATOR AND ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR USE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS. THIS INCLUDES INJURY, LOSS, OR DAMAGE RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON TRAINING INFORMATION OR FROM USE OF EQUIPMENT. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the service operator and its service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your content, your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated Terms here and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide notice where reasonably practicable. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms should be submitted through the support or contact channel associated with the service deployment.
These Terms are product copy and not legal advice. The service operator should review them for its legal entity, jurisdiction, governing-law provisions, consumer rights, and final contact details before publication.
