Privacy Policy

Jason's Garage Lab ("Jason's Garage Lab", "we", "us", or "our") provides a personal workout tracking service for 5/3/1 and Push/Pull/Legs training. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you use the service.

By using Jason's Garage Lab, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, do not use the service.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive the account information Google makes available for authentication, such as your email address, name, profile image, and Google account identifier. We use this information to create and secure your account and associate your records with it. We do not receive your Google password.

Training and content you provide

We store information you enter or create in the service, including lifts, training maxes, cycles, workouts, sets, reps, weights, RPE/RIR, accessories, equipment, notes, protocols, Push/Pull/Legs programs, session history, and related dates. We also store the workout data needed to produce Markdown and PDF exports.

Optional Google Health data

If you choose to connect Google Health, the service requests read access to daily step totals. We use those totals only to import and display supplemental cardio activity in your training records. You can disconnect the integration from Settings. Disconnecting stops future synchronization; previously imported records may remain until you delete them or request their removal.

We do not use Google Health data for advertising, sell it, or use it to determine insurance, employment, credit, or other eligibility. We do not request access to health information beyond the permissions described in the connection flow.

Technical and security information

We may collect information necessary to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, timestamps, authentication events, diagnostic logs, and error information. We use this information for troubleshooting, fraud prevention, monitoring, and maintaining service reliability.

How we use information

  • Provide, personalize, and maintain your account and training tools.
  • Authenticate users and enforce account access controls.
  • Import optional step totals at your direction and keep the integration synchronized.
  • Generate the exports and calculations you request.
  • Protect the service, diagnose problems, and prevent misuse.
  • Communicate about the service when necessary, including important operational or security notices.
  • Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your workout or health information for targeted advertising.

How information is shared

We share information only as needed to operate the service: with infrastructure, database, authentication, monitoring, and other service providers acting on our behalf; with Google when you use Google sign-in or authorize the Google Health integration; when required by law or to protect rights and safety; or as part of a business transfer. Service providers are expected to protect information and use it only for the services they provide.

Your training records are intended to be private to your account. Do not include information in notes that you would not want stored by the service.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and training information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal or security requirements. Retention periods can vary by the type of information and operational needs. Exports downloaded to your device are outside our control.

You may request deletion of your account and associated records, subject to information we must retain for legal, security, backup, or legitimate operational purposes. Contact the service operator through the support or contact channel provided with the service to make a request. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, including authenticated access controls and encrypted connections where supported by the deployment. No internet service or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

  • Review and manage your Google Health connection in Settings.
  • Choose whether to enter optional workout notes and training details.
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to verification and applicable law.
  • Stop using the service and request account deletion through the available support channel.

You may also manage permissions for Google services through your Google account settings. Revoking a Google permission may prevent the associated integration from working.

Children

The service is not directed to children who are below the minimum age required to use online services in their location. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the service or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. Your continued use after an update means the revised policy applies going forward.

Contact

Questions or privacy requests should be submitted through the support or contact channel associated with the service deployment. Please include enough information for us to identify your account, but do not include your password or sensitive authentication information.

This policy describes the current product practices and is not legal advice. The service operator should review the policy for its legal entity, jurisdiction, contact details, and final data-retention practices before publication.
